Sophia and Aaron Wedding Stationery, 2023
In 2022 I was commissioned for a newly engaged couple’s wedding stationery with a twist: the theme for their wedding was dinosaurs. I was very excited to be working with this fun couple and to take on the task of providing them with an dinosaur-centric design that was still classy and elegant.
I decided that depicting dinosaurs’ in the flesh with any realism would look more like a science textbook than wedding invite, and after sketching out some cartoon dinosaurs, they looked too childish. The skeleton seemed the perfect mid-ground for the task. I handpainted all the art, and I asked the bride and groom their favourite dinosaur to choose the subject.
