Cambridge Theatre Publicity
During my undergraduate studies at The University of Cambridge I began working in the vibrant sudent theatre scene. This inlcuded frequent commissions from groups such as the ADC theare, Brickhouse, Pembroke Players, Selwyn Mighty Players, among others. I enjoyed learning the craft of graphic design through this medium, growing in confidence and being given the opportunity to take risks and experiment through the variety of shows. Where at first I applied to be the publicity designer, before long I was being approached by producers.
As a publicity designer, I would create all visual promotional material for a show, including posters to social media banners, programmes, and even Facebook profile photo frames. In many shows I was also the photographer, a selection of my work can be seen here.
This experience was instrumental in forging my love for the medium, as well as teaching me crucial professional skills like collaboration and working to a tight deadline.
